Meet Café Altura
Café Altura calls itself the first organic coffee company. Founder Chris Shepherd traveled to Chiapas, Mexico in 1980 looking for coffee grown without harmful chemicals, and the company has roasted organic coffee ever since. It still roasts on vintage roasters in Ventura, California, and its coffees carry CCOF organic and non-GMO certification.
