This AA lot comes from the Kamwangi factory in Kirinyaga, run by the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative, whose roughly 1,000 members each tend a couple hundred trees. The SL28, SL34, Batian and Ruiru 11 cherries are fermented, washed and slow-dried on raised beds for up to two weeks. Hayman’s notes are brown sugar, passion fruit, blackberry and toffee, the juicy, bright profile Kenyan coffee is loved for.
